Joe Krumm
Joe Krumm is the director of community and government relations for the North Clackamas School District, and oversees communications in many forms−community partnerships, family support, outreach to diverse communities, interpretation, translation, volunteerism and lobbying. He came to the district in 1990 after serving as editor and co-publisher with The Clackamas County Review. Joe attended George Fox University and has been a news reporter, a professional drummer, a bus driver, a soccer coach and referee, and custodian. He has served as vice president for the National School Public Relations Association and President of the Oregon School PR chapter. He and his staff received the Gold Medallion award, the highest honor available to school public relations practitioners. He has served as chair of the North Clackamas County Chamber of Commerce and has been a devoted contributor to the Leadership Clackamas County program and Youth Leadership Project. He was named Volunteer of the Year by the chamber and Citizen of the Year by the Milwaukie Lions Club. He regularly presents seminars and classes on many subjects, including media relations, lobbying, beating burnout, crisis communications, effective school communications on a shoestring, and how to create videos to support staff morale. He has counseled many on how to raise a child with autism. He continues to play with several musical groups. Married and raising two sons, Joe is celebrating good health, music, family, and life.
