Rebecca Burrell
Rebecca is the Outreach Specialist for The Right Brain Initiative, where she focuses on the Initiative’s marketing and advocacy needs. Areas on her agenda include public relations, social media and other grassroots constituency-building projects. She contributes to the Right Brain team a communications dexterity honed most recently through posts at Portland’s Museum of Contemporary Craft and the full-service agency McClenahan Bruer Communications. During more restless years, Rebecca, a Portland native, also lived in such cities as New York; Taos, NM; Oakland, CA; and Accra, Ghana; where she worked for the design industry and the public schools, in addition to the non-profit arts sector.
Off the job, Rebecca’s interests include modern dance, continuing education classes, riding Amtrak, design and architecture, handmade books and new hybrid genres of rock music. Someday she will finally learn to sew and travel to Sweden.
Rebecca holds a BA in Communications from Antioch College.
