Overview

Oregon Symphony's Gospel Xmas (General Support Grant)

RACC supports the region’s vital arts and culture community through a variety of grant programs; each is described in more detail below. These grants are made possible through investments from the City of Portland, Multnomah County, Clackamas County, Washington County, Metro and Work for Art. Funding is awarded through a competitive process that includes dozens of community volunteers serving on peer panels and evaluating each request. Artists and organizations who receive public funding through RACC are required to report on the outcomes of their grant.

RACC grants are available to residents of Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties regardless of race, color, creed, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, military status, marital status, political opinion, national origin, familial status, mental and physical disability, gender identity, and source of income or disability status.

The Artist Fellowship program recognizes the artistic excellence and achievements of individual artists. Fellowships include a cash award to help artists of high merit sustain or enhance their creative process. Due to the unstable economic climate, RACC will defer the program until the first quarter of 2010 when funding sources can be reassessed and RACC can be reassured that an entire four-year rotation of Fellowships can be awarded in Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Media Arts and Literature.
